Little Pip’s Acorn Cap

Just in time for the cooler weather, I finished Sonya’s Little Pip’s Acorn Cap by Kyrie Mead, knit with Madelinetosh Tosh Vintage in firewood using US 7 needles. My yarn was thinner than specified in the pattern, so I added a few stitches; no other mods.  The yarn was a delight to use for this textured pattern.

So cute — but the hat and the little girl 🙂 I will get the book for my 2 littlest grandchildren (2 and 5) and make hats for each of them. They are really into being characters: Last year they were the Clara and the Mouse King, currently they are Alice and the White Rabbit. I hope they will love having acorn caps. Thank you for the inspiration!
