Colors which are a bitch to photograph:

dark blue

dark red

dark green (although Meg’s scarf is the first time I’ve ever knit with dark green yarn, so I don’t have that much experience)

black

And now, bright orange:

This is what the photo looked like before I adjusted the levels in Photoshop.

But the shrug is lookin’ pretty good, no? I can’t tell yet whether the “framing” will be an issue (can you tell?), but I can tell you that this shrug will use a little more than 3 balls of KFI Cash, about 450 yards. Not bad for a little experiment.

I borrowed Nicky Epstein’s Knitted Embellishments from the library, and there’s a cute rosette pattern in there that I can use. The end of this project is in sight, that’s for sure.

Wow.. movin right along eh? And hey.. that color doesn’t look too bad with your skin.. but that could be the camera/photoshoping.. Colors seem to always look different in person. And the sleeve length is lookin just right too.. quite nice : )

That original picture of the orange is shocking.. atleast you have photoshop at your disposal ; )

Oh come on! I know you just played with the colors because you didn’t want your readers to know that you actually owned a fluorescent orange t-shirt. :-)

The shrug looks good so far and I’m glad you decided to go with the 3/4 length sleeves.

Photoshop is amazing! Safety orange… not so good. Tangerine… much better.

I only wish I had it so I could magically touch up all of those inadvertent I see London, I see France, I see… Or maybe I should just turn off the flash.

Your shrug is looking fabulous though.

The shrug looks really, really nice. I look forward to copying it – I think it’s going to fit my Tivoli very well ;-) (I’ll send you a picture after washing it).

Purple always drives me nuts. Always looks blue. DH bought me a new camera a few months back and I’m still cursing and adjusting settings whenever I take a picture.

Shrug is looking great so far. If you leave it alone you may start a new trend for 1-armed shrugs.
